How has Christ suffered for us?
Have you ever wonder why good people suffer? Do you ever ask why a good person must suffer because of certain ailments and other type of long-sufferings. Because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone
he accepts as his son.~ Hebrews 12:6 Sometimes suffering is for the much training and correction we need as a child of God.
I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the
glory that will be revealed in us. And the God of all grace, who called
you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little
while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.
If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other
kind of criminal, or even as a meddler. However, if you suffer as a
Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name.
If you are not disciplined—and everyone undergoes
discipline—then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at
all.
Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood
the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has
promised to those who love him.
